1. Parental Rights in Education
Across the country, parents are pushing back against curriculum and policies that undermine their values. In Idaho, several bills address parents’ rights to know what their children are being taught, to opt out of objectionable content, and to have a voice in school board decisions. Children are a blessing and a heritage from the Lord — parents, not the state, are the primary authority in their lives.
2. Religious Liberty
The free exercise of religion is under increasing pressure nationwide. Idaho has historically been a strong defender of religious liberty, but new challenges emerge every session. Watch for legislation that either strengthens or threatens the ability of individuals, businesses, and religious organizations to live out their faith without government interference.
3. Protection of Life
Idaho has been a leader in pro-life legislation. In 2026, watch for bills that strengthen protections for the unborn, support crisis pregnancy centers, and ensure that born-alive infants receive proper medical care. The protection of life from conception to natural death remains the foundation of all good policy.
4. Marriage and Family Policy
God’s design for marriage between one man and one woman, and the family structure built on that foundation, continues to face cultural and legal challenges. Watch for policies that either uphold or undermine the biblical definition of marriage and the God-given autonomy of the family unit.
5. Education Policy and School Choice
How Idaho educates its children shapes the future of our state. Watch for legislation related to school choice, homeschool protections, curriculum transparency, and the role of parents in education decisions. Every family should have the freedom to choose the educational environment that aligns with their values.
